It’s always an honor to work with a local institution like the Quincy Art Center. They reached out for design & art direction for a new event: The Dogwood Downtown Art Walk. The event was designed to highlight local and regional talent while supporting small businesses. Several downtown businesses participated by turning their shops into pop-up galleries and spaces for artist demonstrations and talks.
The Art Walk coincided with the Dogwood Parade, an iconic event in Quincy for over 50 years. With that conceptual overlap and the timing of the event, it made sense to create bold artwork featuring dogwoods, downtown architecture, and a bold spring palette. After creating the key artwork I scaled it for a variety of print, web, and digital applications.
